THE POSITION

The department of Economics Finance and Control at emlyon business school, seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position in Finance or Insurance at associate level, starting in September, 2018.

Priority will be given to candidates with keen interests in risk assessment and in advanced statistical techniques applied to finance and insurance, with a strong awareness of data science.

This position is open for the school’s French campuses (Lyon / Paris).

Responsibilities for this position include: conducting and publishing academic research and teaching, along with contributing to the service mission of the Department. Teaching opportunities are available at the undergraduate, masters, and executive level.

The teaching load will be defined on a personal basis, and will depend on the publications and the (potential) managerial responsibilities.

Language of instruction at emlyon business school is both English and French. However, speaking French is not a requirement and for non-French candidates support in learning French will be offered.

Job Requirements And Information For Application

Applicants must hold a PhD or Doctorate in Finance or Insurance or related discipline from an accredited university.
Demonstrated potential for conducting high quality research and publishing in top management journals.
Proven interests in risk assessment and in advanced statistical techniques applied to finance and insurance, with a strong awareness of data science
Applicants must have a proven track record of teaching experience to different audiences and publics, in particular at different Master level programs and the BBA program as well, but also in executive education, international programs and in blended/online environments.
Successful candidates are expected to teach in English and in French.
