La Rochelle Business School

La Rochelle is located on the west coast of France (just 3 hours from Paris). As a tourist destination and an eco-pioneer, the city of La Rochelle has wisely capitalised on its natural assets (nautical and foods industries, urban ecology, tourist events…), boasts a stimulating cultural scene (Francofolies rock festival, national dance and theatre company, RedBull skydiving championship…) and offers ideal conditions in terms of quality of life.
Groupe Sup de Co la Rochelle (La Rochelle Education Group) was founded in 1988 and has over 3200 undergraduate and master’s students across five academic units – La Rochelle Business School, La Rochelle School of Tourism & Hospitality, La Rochelle Academy, La Rochelle Digital School and La Rochelle Corporate.

La Rochelle Business School holds AACSB (US) accreditation and EPAS (EFMD, Europe) for its Master in Management and BBA programmes and TedQual certification (World Tourism Organisation Tourism Education Quality) for its School of Tourism and Hospitality. It is a member of the elite French Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (CGE) network and is consistently rated in the top schools for business and management in national league tables and the Financial Times (Master in Management is ranked 60th in the world in 2016).
As a research-led teaching institution, the School has an active and vibrant community of 56 scholars across five disciplinary research and teaching departments, three transdisciplinary research clusters (Corporate Social Responsibility, Tourism Management, Organisational Agility) and two knowledge transfer Institutes for research cooperation with the corporate world (Institute for Sustainability through Innovation – IRSI and the Tourism Management Institute – TMI).

The Marketing Department at La Rochelle Business School seeks to appoint an international Associate Professor. Applicants will be required to contribute to the research profile, teaching and development of academic programmes at undergraduate and master’s level, will be committed to excellence in teaching at all levels, have a demonstrable track record of high quality publications in internationally recognised journals and will be expected to strengthen the department’s position through contributions to research leading to publication in international, peer-reviewed academic journals and in leading debate at national and international levels.

Candidates should submit a letter of application, a full curriculum vitae (including a description of teaching activities and current research in progress), one or two research papers, evidence of teaching effectiveness, copies of diplomas and at least 2 confidential letters of reference which must be forwarded directly to the School. We encourage candidates to describe their experience using a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives. The selection committee may ask candidates for supplementary information.
