Job description

A position of Director of Advancement Services (permanent, full time contract) is available in the Advancement Department on the Europe or Asia Campus.

The post-holder oversees the day-to-day operations of the Advancement department, including IT; Prospect Management and Research; Donor Relations; and other advancement operations activities. S/he is responsible for devising and implementing operational procedures to ensure the smooth-running of the department.

IT-related activities include needs assessments and close collaboration with the INSEAD IT department regarding the prioritization and implementation of new projects.

In coordination with the Senior Director, Development, the job holder will also oversee prospect research and pipeline management staff and activity, engaging outside services for analysis and screenings as required.

The Director will also lead the strategic direction of the department’s donor relations and stewardship area, ensuring a comprehensive stewardship programme which maximizes donor satisfaction and inspires ever-greater levels of support through gift acknowledgement, appreciation, reporting, and recognition.

The Advancement Operations activity includes, amongst other assigned duties, the general oversight of all Advancement operational and business functions and coordination of the department’s risk/business continuity plan implementation. It also includes close collaboration with the Advancement Controller and INSEAD Legal team to define possibilities and limitations of the school’s many national foundations and reviewing contracts.

Required profile:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
At least seven years of advancement operations and IT related services experience, including donor relations, preferably in a higher education setting, plus staff supervision.
