ABOUT OUR SCHOOL: Léonard de Vinci Business School (EMLV) is a non-profit, higher education institution (Grande Ecole in the French system) located in Paris La Défense, France. EMLV offers a broad range of business and management programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level, taught in French and English. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Dean for Research takes part to the faculty management in collaboration with the Dean of Academic Affairs. The job position also includes managing the research lab (the Devinci Research Center) with the Dean of research from ESILV that brings together researchers from both schools.
The Main Missions Are
Develop and provide guidance and incentives for faculty members to develop excellence in research;
Develop and implement a strategic research plan that supports the School’s mission and increases its stature and funding;
Ensure EMLV complies with national and international accreditation criteria (CEFDG, EFMD, AACSB, AMBA) related to research and lead the process for accreditation in this area of intellectual contributions;
Strengthening relationships that support academics and research with the business community both domestically and internationally;
Foster research colloquia, seminars, and other scholarly activities;
Enhance the marketing of research outputs (external communication).
As a faculty member, the Dean for research is expected to engage in research that leads to high quality intellectual contributions (quality references: FNEGE or CNRS highly-ranked journals). Applicants must also have excellent teaching skills in their field of expertise.
The position will start in January 2019. Remuneration will be commensurate with the applicant’s academic qualification, current position and successful professional experience.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should hold an HDR or a PhD and have an established record of excellence in teaching and research. They must have a significant experience in research and faculty management. Candidates must demonstrate high research productivity and have a proven record of accomplishment in teaching. Applications should have published in refereed management journals, both nationally and internationally. Applicants must be fluent in English and in French.
